TORONTO, April 23, 2017 /CNW/ – Toronto Escort Services Inc. (TSS) has confirmed that it will begin accepting Bitcoin at all three of its venues.
This news comes after the company launched its own Bitcoin ATM at a Toronto coffee shop in January 2017.
The ATM, called The Bitcoin ATM, was a pilot project and TSS has since expanded the program to include more venues, including bars, restaurants, nightclubs and hotel rooms.
“Bitcoin is an emerging payment method and we have partnered with BitPay to launch our Bitcoin ATM,” said Adam Mares, general manager of TSS.
“We are happy to announce that the Bitcoin ATM will be available at TSS in the coming months, so we can provide our customers with a convenient alternative to credit cards.”
Bitcoin is an online payment method that is widely accepted by consumers around the world.
It is backed by a decentralized network of users and miners who collectively determine the value of the currency.
Bitcoin is currently used to pay for goods and services online, and is a way to pay securely and anonymously for digital goods and digital services.
The Bitcoin Association, a trade association of Bitcoin enthusiasts, recently announced it is partnering with TSS to help guide its members in the Bitcoin space.
