SCRANTON, N.J. — The escorts’ union wants to know why Donald Trump has not been more vocal about the sexual harassment allegations against him.
“He has not responded to any of this,” said John Lott, president of the Bay Area Escorts.
“The public deserves to know what’s going through his head.
This is a crisis for the American economy, and we don’t want to see it continue.”
Trump has faced criticism for the treatment of the escort industry after the release of an audio recording in which he brags about how he can get away with grabbing women’s private parts and boasting about grabbing women by the genitals.
The recording was made during a 2005 video deposition in which Trump, then a reality TV star, was questioned by a woman who alleged he made unwanted sexual advances toward her.
Trump denied the allegations.
Trump has since apologized to the woman, and he has since released a new recording.
Lott said the public deserves more answers, not less.
“He needs to be held accountable for what he’s done,” Lott said.
“We’re not trying to get Trump to take a backseat, we’re trying to see what’s happening behind the scenes.”
