BANGKOK – Escorts who run away from Bangkok airport have a reputation for leaving behind their luggage to the police.
But this is not the case for two Bangkok escorts who are said to be taking money to stay in the city.
The women are said by many to be the most famous escorts in the country, with their clients often travelling with them.
A Bangkok police spokesperson told News24 the two escorts are accused of stealing about $200,000 from their clients.
The women have been detained by police in a separate case but have refused to talk to News24.
They did not respond to repeated phone calls and emails.
The police spokesperson said they have been following the women’s alleged theft.
He said the woman has since been released on bail and the other case has been closed.
The Bangkok Police said they were not aware of the woman’s case but they are investigating the case.
In November last year, two female escorts from Thailand were caught on CCTV stealing money from a man they were helping at a bus station.
The women were taken into custody, and the case was closed.
Earlier this month, the Bangkok Police detained a woman who was allegedly involved in a similar case.
The man’s family and a friend were reportedly told that the woman had confessed to the crime.
He was reportedly released from custody after spending a day in custody.
