New Orleans, Louisiana (CNN) It was supposed to be a new job for a nightshift worker in New York.
Now, the nightshift escorts who started as night shift workers at a local restaurant in New Jersey are working in New England.
New Orleans police said Thursday they had received a tip that someone was looking to take over night shift at a nearby bar and that they were looking to hire as many as four night shift drivers, who work in shifts of five hours a day, to fill in the gap.
A source told CNN that the source had not been able to confirm the information.
New York police confirmed they are looking for an individual with the same name as the source to help them with their investigation.
New England police have said they are not looking for a specific individual, but are trying to find a possible suspect.
The New Orleans Police Department said Thursday it is looking into a complaint about the alleged incident.
They said the complaint was sent to the state Attorney General’s office.
The complaint was forwarded to the New York State Police, the New Orleans City Police Department and the New Jersey State Police.
New Jersey Police said they were investigating the allegation.
The driver, who identified himself as Ryan, said he has been working in night shift in New Hampshire for about a year.
He said he would not comment on the incident.
“I have no comment on this at this time,” Ryan said in a statement.
Ryan said he was paid $13.50 per hour, but said he worked in shifts that ranged from three hours to six hours a night.
“In all of my years of driving for the company I have never seen anyone so tired or so lazy or so unproductive,” Ryan wrote in an email.
The incident comes at a time when night shift jobs are increasingly being filled by immigrants who do not have college degrees, a trend that has been exacerbated by the economic crisis.
The influx of immigrant workers has caused an uptick in the number of night shift positions, as well as the number that are paid hourly.
The number of New Hampshire drivers has risen by nearly 30 percent in the past year.
Some drivers have also started calling the jobs their own, according to the driver.
“It is amazing to see the excitement in their eyes when I call them on a Tuesday night and say ‘hey, we’re hiring,'” the driver said.
“You can’t see it, but it’s definitely noticeable.
There is a lot of excitement in the faces of people.
It’s really good to see people who are here to get jobs that are not as easy to get.”
The driver said he had worked as a night shift driver for a restaurant in Brooklyn for about four years.
“When I came here, I was making $7.50 an hour,” he said.
The night shift was also a way to make a living for him.
“To me, I made $500 a month and that was enough to survive on,” he wrote.
The drivers who started in New Mexico have been paid about $9 an hour.
